Since 1983, the GKCWP has offered creative writing camps in locations throughout the city. Participants will write daily in a creative and supportive environment. The sessions are designed and led by experienced teachers of writing. At the end of each session, writers will share their favorite pieces with friends and families at an Open Mic celebration.
We work with young writers who already love to write and those who want to enjoy writing more. Each year, we work with diverse young writers, from those who want to bring a fantasy novel they are currently working on to budding poets looking for inspiration to writers needing to find encouragement to share their ideas.
